You Are Already Healed: Unlocking the Power of God’s Grace

Dr. Taiwo Adeeko.

As believers, we often face challenges and obstacles that can make us question God’s love and care for us. But today, I want to remind you that you are already healed. Yes, you heard that right! You are already healed, and I want to share with you why.

In 3 John 1:2, we read that God desires all men to be healed and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

And in 1 Timothy 2:4, we see that God wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. But what about when we face roadblocks to healing? What about when we experience thorns in the flesh like Paul did?

In 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, Paul shares about his thorn in the flesh, which was given to him to keep him from becoming conceited. But despite this thorn, Paul learned to boast in his weaknesses, knowing that Christ’s power is made perfect in weakness. And that’s exactly what we need to do too.

We need to recognize that our infirmities, our weaknesses, and our struggles are all opportunities for God’s power to shine through. As Paul wrote in Romans 8:26, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.” And in James 5:13-14, we read that we should pray for each other when we are sick or struggling.

But here’s the thing: God will never afflict anyone with sicknesses. Exodus 15:26-27, Deuteronomy 7:13-15, and Isaiah 45:7-8 all remind us that God is our healer and our provider. And in John 16:13, Jesus promises to send the Spirit of truth to teach us and guide us.

So, what about when we face difficulties and challenges? What about when we feel like we’re stuck in a rut? Remember that God will never use sickness to teach us lessons. James 1:17 reminds us that only good gifts and things come from God.

And finally, let’s not forget about the power of community and support. In Acts 20:4-5, we read about Trophimus, who was sick but healed and still joined Paul on his journey. And in Philippians 2:25-28, we see Paul writing to Timothy about Epaphroditus, who was sick but recovered.

So, my dear friends, I want to leave you with this reminder today: you are already healed. God’s grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in weakness. Don’t be afraid to boast in your weaknesses, knowing that Christ’s power will rest on you. And always remember that God will never afflict anyone with sicknesses. Only good gifts and things come from Him.
