Addressing the House, Speaker Tajudeen emphasized the immediate focus on the security sector, highlighting the unprecedented challenges of the past decade and commending the progress made through increased federal investment and the dedication of service men and women.
During the session, a minute of silence was observed to honor those who sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation. The Speaker reiterated the mandatory in-person attendance of all invited heads of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) during the sectoral briefing, emphasizing the House’s commitment to evidence-based and people-oriented legislative measures.
Speaker Tajudeen also outlined the legislative agenda’s commitment to improving the quality of debates, engagement with the Executive, and ensuring alignment with the aspirations of the Nigerian people.
