SP Josephine Adeh Dedicates IGP PR Award to Team, Media Partners, and Nigerians

Superintendent of Police (SP) Josephine Adeh, the Public Relations Officer of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, has expressed profound gratitude after being named Best Public Relations Officer of the Year at the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Awards.

In a heartfelt message following the recognition, SP Adeh described the award as more than just a personal achievement, calling it “a testament to teamwork, dedication, and the power of effective communication in policing.”

“Honoured. Humbled. Grateful,” she wrote. “Winning the IGP Award for Best Public Relations Officer of the Year is not just a recognition—it’s a validation of the collective effort behind every message we share and every story we tell.”

SP Adeh extended her appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police for the honour, and to the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, for his exceptional leadership and steadfast support.

She also acknowledged her media partners for playing a critical role in amplifying the efforts of the police. “Thank you for telling our stories, standing with us in the pursuit of truth, and helping build public trust,” she noted.

Dedicating the award to her team, colleagues, and every Nigerian who engages with the police through communication platforms, SP Adeh reaffirmed her commitment to bridging the gap between the police and the public.

“We remain committed to building trust, telling our story, and strengthening the bond between the police and the people,” she said.

The award highlights SP Adeh’s continued impact in reshaping police-public relations through transparency, collaboration, and strategic communication.
