Silent Heroes Awards Opens Nominations for 7th Edition

The Nigerian Silent Heroes Awards (NSHA) has officially opened nominations for its 7th edition, continuing its mission of recognizing unsung individuals and institutions making remarkable contributions to society.

Since its inception in 2019, the Silent Heroes Awards, an initiative of the Silent Heroes Awards Initiative, has celebrated outstanding individuals who have impacted their fields without seeking public recognition. The award has gained prestige over the years, honoring over 200 recipients across various sectors.

Categories open for nomination in this edition include Policing and Intelligence, Human Rights Advocacy, Journalism, Business and Enterprise, Politics, Medicine, Good Governance, Infrastructure Development, and many more.

Past recipients include prominent figures such as Prof. Muhammadu Shafi’U Abdullahi (Education), Dr. Awele Elumelu (Medicine), and ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi (Police Image Management), among others.

This year’s ceremony will be held in Abuja, following previous editions in the nation’s capital. As part of the event, a lecture themed “The Power of Selflessness” will be delivered by a distinguished speaker, aligning with the award’s core values of humility, excellence, and service to humanity.

Dr. Odita Sunday-Udemagwuna, the lead organizer and a senior journalist with The Guardian, emphasized that the awards remain strictly merit-based, recognizing excellence without financial or political influence.

He expressed confidence that this year’s nominees will reflect the same values of hard work and integrity that define the Silent Heroes Awards.

With its commitment to honoring silent achievers beyond ethnic or financial considerations, the Silent Heroes Awards continues to set a standard for genuine recognition in Nigeria.

Nominations are now open, and interested individuals are encouraged to put forward deserving candidates who have made significant contributions to their respective fields.

End.
