In a ceremonial event held at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Police Affairs, Abuja, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, was elevated to the esteemed title of Makama of Fika by the Emir of Fika and Chairman of Yobe State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu.
The certificate of the new title was presented to Senator Ibrahim Gaidam by Alhaji Abubakar Mamu, a retired Federal Permanent Secretary, representing the Emir of Fika.
This significant honor bestowed upon Senator Gaidam recognizes his substantial contributions to the state, particularly in the realms of education, security, and overall development of the emirate.
According to Alhaji Sule Dauda, the spokesperson for the palace, Senator Gaidam’s dedication and service to the people of Yobe State have been exemplary.
He emphasized that the elevation to Makama of Fika is a testament to Senator Gaidam’s commitment to the welfare and progress of the community.
“We are here to present the certificate of the new title of Makama of Fika emirate, and our people and the entire state will continue to pray for your success as Minister of Police Affairs,” stated Alhaji Dauda.
He also expressed gratitude for Senator Gaidam’s efforts in advancing the development agenda of the state and the nation as a whole.
In response, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam expressed his gratitude to the Emir of Fika and the entire emirate for bestowing this prestigious title upon him.
He pledged to deepen his involvement in palace activities and assured the community of his unwavering commitment to their welfare.
Dr. Nasir Sani Gwarzo, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Police Affairs, also extended his appreciation to the Emir of Fika for recognizing Senator Gaidam’s contributions and leadership qualities.
