Rep Muktar Shagaya holds town hall, appoints liaison officers for effective service delivery.


Member Representing Ilorin West/ Asa Federal Constituency of Kware State, Representative Mukthar Shagaya has promised to run an open door policy as well as synergize with the Governor of the State His Excellency Abdulrahman Adbulrazaq and other lawmakers from the state to ensure good governance and deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

He stated this at a town hall meeting he organised in his constituency in Afon, to give stakeholders the opportunity to engage and brainstorm on ways to move the constituency forward.

On his Twitter handle Representative Mukthar Shagaya emphasized the need for continued collaboration and communication for the good of the people.

“Yesterday, I hosted a groundbreaking and historic Town Hall meeting that brought together stakeholders across Ilorin West/Asa Federal constituency. This open dialogue platform allowed sharing of views, feedback, and priority-based requests.

I expressed gratitude for the attendees’ support, and commitment while pledging sustained engagement with the constituency in order to ensure that the benefits of democracy are realized.

I emphasized the need for continued collaboration and communication, and called for unity and cooperation in working towards the common goal of improving the lives of our people.

Held in Afon, the Asa Local Government Council headquarters, the meeting provided the attendees with an opportunity to share experiences, insights, and solutions for constituency challenges.

I anticipate continued synergy with Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Senator Saliu Mustapha, and the 4 House of Assembly members under my constituency.

I also announced the appointment of my Liaison Officers across 29 wards in Ilorin West/Asa as part of our strategy to promote community relationship and create sense of belonging with our constituents.

The meeting was a resounding success, and a testament to the power of the people coming together to voice their concerns and work towards a better future”.
