PSC Chairman Urges Nigerians to Embrace Peace and Unity During Eid-ul-Maulud

The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG Hashimu Argungu (retd), has called on Nigerians to use the occasion of Eid-ul-Maulud, the celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, to pray for peace, unity, and progress in the nation.

In a statement issued by the Commission’s Press and Public Relations Unit, DIG Argungu emphasized the importance of renewed faith, tolerance, sacrifice, and patriotism during this special period.

He urged citizens to rally behind their leaders and promote values that foster national unity and harmony.

“The birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad should reignite a new awakening for a progressive Nigeria. On this auspicious day, may our faith in Allah grow stronger in our hearts, and let us be filled with gratitude,” DIG Argungu said.

He reminded Nigerians that the life of the Prophet serves as a source of guidance, inspiring love, peace, and tolerance.

The PSC Chairman extended his heartfelt Eid-ul-Maulud greetings to Muslims across the country, expressing his hope that the celebrations would inspire faith, love, and goodwill. “May your hearts be filled with faith and love,” he added, praying that the grace of the Prophet’s birth brings illumination to all.

He also urged Muslim staff within the Commission to reflect on the teachings of the Prophet, particularly his messages of kindness, peace, and tolerance, praying for God’s blessings on their lives.
