The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd), mni, has extended warm Easter greetings to Nigerians, with a special message of goodwill to staff of the Commission, officers of the Nigeria Police Force, and their families.
In a statement issued on Sunday, April 20, 2025, by the Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, the PSC Chairman urged Christians to reflect on the essence of Easter, describing it as a season symbolizing sacrifice, renewal, hope, and peace — values he said are integral to the Commission’s vision of building a disciplined, professional, and people-focused police force.
“As we commemorate this period of reflection and resurrection, I urge all police officers to continue to uphold the principles of integrity, fairness, and justice in the discharge of their duties,” he stated.
Argungu reaffirmed the Commission’s dedication to its constitutional responsibilities, emphasizing its commitment to merit-based appointments, timely promotions, and discipline enforcement as key elements in strengthening public confidence in the Police.
He called on Nigerians to remain united and support ongoing reforms in the Nigeria Police Force, adding, “May this Easter bring renewed faith in our collective pursuit of peace, security, and national unity.”
The PSC Chairman concluded by wishing Nigerians and their families a joyful and blessed Easter celebration.
