Represented by the Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, during the grand finale of the Nigerian Army Day Celebration 2024 at the Maxwell Khobe Cantonment in Jos, Plateau State, President Tinubu acknowledged the Army’s relentless efforts in addressing the nation’s security challenges.
“We live in a complex and ever-changing world, and our Army must continue to evolve to meet new challenges,” President Tinubu stated. “I was informed that you dedicated part of the Army Day Celebration to holding lectures and brainstorming sessions on the evolving security situations. This is crucial for better preparation in facing these challenges.”

These include the payment of Group Life Assurance for fallen soldiers and the procurement of attack helicopters and combat enablers.

There is no doubt that you represent the pride of the nation; an institution with history that has never failed Nigeria,” he declared.
