The NNPC Foundation has pre-qualified 2,659 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members for the final phase of its Business Pitching Exercise, scheduled to hold from July 2nd to 10th, 2024. This initiative is part of the Foundation’s Financial Literacy Program, which has trained over 284,000 corps members on financial management and entrepreneurship.
The Managing Director of NNPC Foundation, Mrs. Emmanuella Arukwe, announced that the selection criteria will focus on business idea feasibility, market relevance, innovation, scalability, community impact, and entrepreneurial spirit. The top projects will receive startup packs, business advisory services, and opportunities to scale their ventures.
In addition, the NNPC Foundation has secured a 50% reduction in registration fees with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) for corps members’ businesses. This initiative aligns with the Foundation’s mission to empower young Nigerian graduates with necessary skills for personal and professional development.
The NNPC Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of NNPC Limited, focuses on enhancing Nigeria’s socio-economic development through targeted interventions in education, health, environment, access to energy, and youth empowerment. This initiative aims to foster economic empowerment, promote entrepreneurship, and support sustainable development across the nation.
