Nigerian Youths Are the Heartbeat of the Nation – Deputy Speaker Kalu

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has described Nigerian youths as the heartbeat of the nation, praising their resilience, creativity, and commitment to nation-building.

In a statement by Levinus Nwabughiogu, Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker on Tuesday to mark the 2025 International Youth Day, Kalu commended the crucial role young people play in driving community progress and accelerating national development.

He noted that his office has partnered with several youth-led organisations to implement empowerment programmes and initiatives, aimed at unlocking the potential of the country’s young population.

The Deputy Speaker hailed Nigerian youths as “innovators, change-makers, and leaders of today and tomorrow,” recognising their hard work, patriotism, and passion for greatness as qualities that would shape a brighter and more inclusive future.

Kalu also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for being youth-friendly and committed to creating more opportunities for young people. He urged Nigerian youths to continue supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda, remain law-abiding, and believe in the brighter prospects ahead under the current leadership.
