The operation, conducted on Saturday, April 13, 2024, in Rafin Sariki Village of Giwa Local Government Area, aimed to intercept terrorists on transit with a cache of weapons, preventing potential havoc in the region.

Upon their arrival, a fierce gun battle ensued, resulting in the neutralization of two terrorists.
The gallant soldiers also seized significant weaponry, including an AK-47 rifle, 52 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and a locally fabricated revolver frame, effectively thwarting the imminent threat.
