The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) awarded the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) the prestigious service compliant award at its Diamond Jubilee celebration dinner. The event took place on June 27, 2024, at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
The NIPR honored the NPF for its exemplary adherence to the NIPR Act, particularly in the appointment of Public Relations Officers across various Zonal and State Commands. The Institute commended the NPF’s dedication to training and re-training its Public Relations Personnel, efforts that have been significantly bolstered under the leadership of Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM.
In his response, IGP Egbetokun congratulated the NIPR on its milestone celebration and reaffirmed the Police Force’s commitment to upholding the NIPR Act. He emphasized the importance of effective communication management and robust public relations practices within the Police Force.
The award ceremony underscored the importance of compliance with public relations standards and highlighted the NPF’s role as a leading agency in this regard.
