The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, officially opened the newly constructed Nigerian Army (NA) Shopping Complex at Bonny Military Cantonment, Lagos.
During the commissioning ceremony, COAS Lagbaja commended the Commander Corps of Engineers, Major General Philip Eromosele, and his team for their innovative approach in aligning with the COAS’s vision to uplift the welfare of Nigerian Army personnel.
He praised their adeptness in executing various projects, noting their substantial contributions to national development, including the construction of over 40 roads and successful disposal of 58 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in the Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai theatre.
COAS Lagbaja emphasized the significance of the new Shopping Mall in enhancing the well-being of army personnel and their families, acknowledging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering support and guidance.
In his address, Major General Philip Eromosele, Commander Corps of Engineers, expressed gratitude to COAS Lagbaja for fostering a conducive environment that fosters competence, innovation, and supports personnel welfare.
