NAF Sustains Pressure on Hostile Elements with Multiple Air Strikes in Kwara


‘The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out a series of coordinated air operations in Kwara State, targeting hostile elements and reinforcing security efforts in the region.

According to a statement signed by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, the operations were conducted on 28 September 2025 under Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY) Sector 3.

The missions covered Kakihun, Oke-Ode, Babanla, and adjoining areas, with reconnaissance and close air support operations carried out to deter emerging threats. During the missions, hostile elements sighted east of Babanla were decisively neutralized.

The NAF explained that concurrent surveillance flights were also undertaken to monitor key settlements and military positions, gathering critical intelligence to support ongoing ground operations.

“These missions reaffirm NAF’s commitment to protecting troops and civilians, maintaining air superiority, and sustaining pressure on hostile actors,” the statement read.

Ejodame assured Nigerians of the Air Force’s determination to defend the nation’s territorial integrity and safeguard communities from security threats. He urged citizens to remain vigilant and supportive of the Armed Forces as efforts continue to restore lasting peace and security across the country.
