Mothers Day Sermon: Empowered by Grace – Pastor Mrs Maria Adeeko

Grace is the divine influence upon our heart and how it impacts us. Grace is the power to do what we wouldn’t be able to do on our own (Ephesians 2:8-9). Pastor Mrs. Maria Adeeko’s sermon on Mother’s Day was a powerful reminder of the transformative power of God’s grace in our lives.

Grace is a gift from God, available to all, and enables us to live a righteous and victorious life (Titus 2:11-12). Faith will only bring what God has made available by grace. As stated in 2 Peter 1:2, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” Grace has appeared to all men to make us live a righteous and victorious life.

There are three types of grace: Saving Grace, which is grace from God for salvation; Standing Grace, which helps us overcome temptation; and Serving Grace, which helps us serve God. According to 2 Peter 3:18, “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.”

Grace enables us to do much more than we could on our own. It helps us in our Christian walk, love those who are difficult to love, and stand firm against temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13). Grace gives us strength against darkness, dominion over sin, and defends us (Romans 6:14). As Philippians 3:10 states, “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.”

Grace helps us achieve victory in various areas of our lives, including our Christian walk, where it helps us stand firm as Christians (1 Corinthians 10:13). It also helps us love those who are not easy to love (Matthew 28:5-7, 2 Corinthians 4:7, 1 John 4:11).

Additionally, grace helps us to be rich and prosperous (2 Corinthians 8:1-7, 3 Corinthians 9:6-8), and be good home makers, industrious, and hardworking (1 Corinthians 15:9-10, Titus 2:5, Proverbs 31:11-12).

Pastor Maria Adeeko encouraged mothers to ask for more Grace in their lives to be above only and not beneath. May we embrace the empowering grace of God and live victorious lives, knowing that “God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Ephesians 3:20).
