The Ministry of Police Affairs, led by the Permanent Secretary Dr. Nazir Sani Gwarzo, extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the late Ibrahim Lamorde and Dauda Haruna Mohammed.
The visits took place at the residences of the bereaved in Maitama, Abuja, and Kaduna, respectively.
Representing the Minister, Senator Gaidam Ibrahim, and the Honourable Minister of State, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, Dr. Gwarzo expressed deep sympathies to the Lamorde family.
He praised the late Ibrahim Lamorde for living a life worthy of emulation, leaving behind cherished memories and his hardworking sister, Fati Lamorde, who serves as the Head of the Legal Services Department at the Ministry of Police Affairs.
Dr. Gwarzo conveyed the best wishes of all ministry staff and management, praying that Almighty Allah grants Ibrahim Lamorde eternal paradise.
Dr. Gwarzo prayed for protection for the deceased from the torment of the grave and that their deeds weigh heavily in the scales of good deeds, serving as a treasure and forerunner for their families.
In a related development, Dr. Gwarzo also honored the memory of the late Dauda Haruna Mohammed, who served as Special Assistant (Administration).
He described Mohammed as a dedicated staff member who continuously sought innovative ways to advance the police ecosystem.
“We express our sympathies to you and your family on the passing of your beloved son and father, who made significant contributions to the improvement of our country. Allah loves him most,” said Dr. Gwarzo.
He urged both families to stay strong and continue to uphold the vision of the deceased for the betterment of humanity and Nigeria.
He emphasized that the entire police ecosystem recognized and valued the contributions of both men to the nation.
The families of the deceased expressed gratitude to the management and staff of the Ministry for their support and presence during this period of grief, highlighting the concern shown by the leadership of the police ecosystem.
Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo was accompanied by the entire management team of the Ministry. Fati Lamorde, who is the sister of the late Ibrahim Lamorde, is a prominent member of the Ministry as the Head of the Legal Services Department.
