The Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, describing it as a monumental loss to Nigeria.
In a condolence message issued on behalf of the Ministry and the entire Police Ecosystem, Senator Gaidam extended heartfelt sympathies to the Buhari family, the Federal Government, and the Nigerian people.
The Minister hailed the late President as a visionary leader and patriotic statesman whose contributions to the country would remain indelible. He particularly noted Buhari’s unwavering commitment to national security, which led to the re-establishment of the Ministry of Police Affairs and the approval of crucial funding for fuel supplies to enhance police operations across the country.
“The Ministry of Police Affairs and the entire Police Ecosystem share in this moment of grief and sorrow. His foresight and leadership strengthened our national security framework and inspired vital reforms,” Senator Gaidam stated.
He further described the late President as a man of honor, discipline, and integrity, whose legacy will continue to inspire generations.
“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the passing of a distinguished statesman. His selfless service and firm dedication to Nigeria will never be forgotten. May his soul rest in peace,” the Minister concluded.
