The Honourable Minister of Defence, His Excellency Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, has commenced an operational tour of the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army and other key military installations in Enugu and Imo States.
On his arrival in Enugu, the Minister was welcomed by Major-General H.T. Dada, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 82 Division and Commander of the Joint Task Force South East (Operation Udoka), along with other senior military officers.
The visit underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to enhancing military operations and addressing security challenges in the South East region.
During the tour, the Minister is also scheduled to engage with stakeholders from the region to deliberate on strategies for fostering peace and security.
