In a display of support and solidarity, the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Muhammed Bello Matawalle, made an impromptu stop along the Abuja-Kaduna highway to assess a security operation firsthand.
While en route to Kaduna, Dr. Matawalle noticed clusters of people gathered alongside Armed Forces personnel.
He immediately ordered his convoy to halt, allowing him to engage directly with the situation.
Upon disembarking, the Minister entered the community near the Rijana Forward Operational Base, where he observed the aftermath of a successful anti-bandit operation.
The Armed Forces had just reclaimed a herd of rustled cows, which were being temporarily held at a local school before being handed over to the Kaduna State Government.
Dr. Matawalle took the opportunity to commend the security agents on their resilience and bravery in executing the operation.
Addressing the assembled military personnel, the local Police Divisional Police Officer (DPO), and other security agents, Dr. Matawalle urged them to maintain their unwavering dedication to protecting the citizens of Nigeria.
His visit served as a significant morale booster for the security agents and underscored his commitment to their critical mission.
