Making Your Ways Prosperous 5- Pastor Adeeko

In the cozy sanctuary of Refreshing Word Christian Center, Pastor Adeeko delivered another powerful sermon from his series, “Making Your Ways Prosperous.” As we gathered, anticipation filled the air, eager to glean wisdom from his teachings.

The focal point of today’s message was clear: “Do the WORD.” Drawing from the timeless wisdom found in Joshua 1:1-8, Pastor Adeeko emphasized the importance of not just knowing the Word but actively living it out in our daily lives. “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth,” he quoted, “that you may observe to do.” It’s in the doing that true success is found.

Supporting this notion, Pastor Adeeko referenced James 1:22-26 and Psalms 1:1-3, which echoed the same sentiment: a fruitful life stems from a heart committed to action rooted in God’s Word.

But how do we practically live out the Word? Here are two key insights shared by Pastor Adeeko:

Practice the WORD:

Taking inspiration from Philippians 4:9, Pastor Adeeko urged us to put into practice what we’ve learned. Knowledge alone is not enough; it’s the application of that knowledge that brings about transformation. Quoting Philippians 4:6-7, he reminded us of the futility of worry and the peace that comes from surrendering our concerns to God in prayer.

Learn to Forgive:

Drawing from Ephesians 4:31-32, Pastor Adeeko highlighted the transformative power of forgiveness and kindness towards one another. Referencing Proverbs 3:9-10, Luke 6:38, and Deuteronomy 28:1-2, he painted a vivid picture of the blessings that come from obedience to God’s commands.

In closing, Pastor Adeeko shared a poignant analogy from Matthew 7:24-26, comparing the fate of two builders—one who hears and acts upon the Word, and another who hears but fails to act. The former’s house stands firm upon the rock, while the latter’s is washed away by the storms of life.

As we left the chuch, hearts stirred and minds renewed, Pastor Adeeko’s words lingered in our thoughts. May we, like the wise builder, choose to be doers of the Word, standing boldly in the face of adversity and walking the path to true prosperity.

Pastor Mrs Adeeko also prayed for Birthday celebrants and wedding Anniversary celebrants whose anniversary fell within the past week, commiting them into God’s hands for more fruitful endeavors.
