LEADERS OF SUPREME COUNCIL FOR SHARIA IN NIGERIA VISITS DHQ COMMENDS CDS FOR HANDLING OF KADUNA INCIDENCE.


In a proactive effort to enhance national security, General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), has reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Armed Forces of Nigeria to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens and residents. The statement, issued by Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, Director Defence Information in Abuja, highlights the CDS’s assurance during a pivotal meeting with leaders of the Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria, led by Dr. Bashir Aliyu Umar, at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.

Expressing regret over the recent Tudun-Biri incident in Kaduna, General Musa affirmed a thorough investigation into the matter and a dedication to implementing sustainable solutions to prevent its recurrence. Addressing prevalent security challenges, particularly in the North West, he underscored the importance of purposeful leadership and development at all levels to effectively combat criminality.

In response, Dr. Bashir, leading the Supreme Council delegation, commended General Musa for his forward-thinking and people-centric leadership style. Emphasizing the need for leaders to address socioeconomic disparities, he acknowledged positive transformations in the country’s security architecture under General Musa’s guidance. Dr. Bashir also praised the CDS’s earnest efforts in handling the Tudun Biri incident, expressing gratitude for his empathy and concern for the victims of the drone attack.
