In a bid to alleviate the suffering caused by fuel scarcity in Kwara State, the government taskforce conducted a series of raids on filling stations across the Ilorin metropolis.
Led by Prince Mahe Abdulkadir, the Chief of Staff at the Government House, the operation aimed to curb hoarding practices that exacerbate the hardship faced by the masses.
Speaking on behalf of the taskforce, Prince Abdulkadir emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing the fuel shortage.
He urged citizens to remain patient and refrain from panic-buying, reassuring them that the Federal Government had no plans to increase fuel prices.
Additionally, Prince Abdulkadir called on fuel station management to organize their operations efficiently to ensure orderly distribution of fuel.
While some station managers pledged to cooperate and avoid hoarding, motorists expressed their gratitude for the government’s intervention and urged continued vigilance in monitoring fuel sales to prevent future shortages.
As the taskforce remains vigilant, motorists and residents hope for sustained efforts to mitigate the impact of fuel scarcity in Kwara State.
