The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for choosing Bende Federal Constituency in Abia State as the location for the Renewed Hope Housing Estate, a 250-unit project under the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development’s Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme.
The project, attracted by Kalu, will consist of 50 units of 1-bedroom, 150 units of 2-bedroom, and 50 units of 3-bedroom semi-detached bungalows. President Tinubu performed the groundbreaking ceremony, urging the developers to complete the project within three months. The government plans to deliver 50,000 housing units, including 7 Renewed Hope Cities, under Phase One of the programme.
Kalu praised President Tinubu for addressing the housing deficits in Nigeria through this project, which will boost confidence in the APC-led federal government. He assured the people of more democracy dividends and appealed for support for the administration. The event was attended by traditional rulers, youths, and women from the APC.
This project demonstrates the government’s commitment to providing affordable housing and improving the lives of Nigerians.
