Infantile Attack on Governor Oborevwori Denounced by Delta PDP


In a recent press release, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Delta State has strongly condemned the derogatory remarks made by Zik Gbemre against His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

According to a statement by Delta State, PDP, Secretary, Engr.Dan Ossai, the party described Gbemre’s outburst as a misplaced rage lacking in decorum and respect.

The PDP emphasized that Gbemre’s tirade not only targeted Governor Oborevwori but also reflected a disregard for the party, which garnered immense support during the elections.

They likened Gbemre’s behavior to the futile rage described in Psalm 2 of the Holy Bible, highlighting the lack of constructive criticism in his discourse.

Furthermore, the PDP refuted Gbemre’s claims regarding the Okuama IDP’s camp, emphasizing Governor Oborevwori’s proactive efforts in resolving the situation.

They commended the governor for successfully negotiating the withdrawal of the Nigerian Army from Okuama, ensuring the safety and well-being of the displaced persons.

Addressing speculations about Governor Oborevwori’s academic qualifications, the PDP reiterated his credentials, emphasizing his competence and the accomplishments of his administration.

They urged Deltans to judge the governor based on his performance and not succumb to malicious gossip propagated by detractors.

In conclusion, the PDP thanked the people of Delta State for their unwavering support and urged them to remain steadfast in their allegiance to Governor Oborevwori and the PDP.
