The Executive Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Hon. Dr John Gabaya, has extended warm Eid-El-Fitr greetings to the Muslim community in the Council and beyond, urging Nigerians to embrace the lessons of Ramadan for national unity and peaceful coexistence.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Gabaya congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the 30-day Ramadan fast, emphasizing the need to imbibe the values of self-restraint, sacrifice, charity, and compassion. He stressed that the end of Ramadan should not mark the end of kindness and generosity towards one another.
The Chairman called on Nigerians, particularly residents of Bwari Area Council, to remain committed to peace and unity, describing these as fundamental to national development.
He cautioned against acts that could disrupt social harmony, urging citizens to focus on what unites them rather than differences that divide the nation.
“We stand to lose a lot if we continue to dwell on what divides us rather than focus on what unites us as a people,” he stated.
Hon. Gabaya also encouraged traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community heads to sustain the prevailing peace and security in Bwari, assuring residents of his administration’s dedication to implementing impactful projects for the Council’s development.
Furthermore, he commended the resilience and steadfastness of the Muslim Ummah and the people of Bwari, urging them to remain hopeful and continue supporting government efforts towards ensuring security, well-being, and prosperity. He reaffirmed Bwari’s reputation as a peaceful area and urged residents to uphold the hard-earned tranquility.
“On behalf of my family, the good people, and the Government of Bwari Area Council, I heartily felicitate and rejoice with all the residents of our dear Council as we celebrate Eid-El-Fitr,” Hon. Gabaya concluded.
