Gabaya Celebrates Nigeria’s Democracy Day, Affirms Commitment to Democratic Values


Hon. (Dr.) John Gabaya, the Executive Chairman of Bwari Area Council, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Nigerians as the nation celebrates its 25th Democracy Day.

In his message, Dr. Gabaya emphasized that this milestone signifies the solid entrenchment of democratic governance in Nigeria.

“Celebrating the 25th Democracy Day in Nigeria underscores that democratic governance is not only firmly rooted but also here to stay,” he declared.

The Chairman highlighted the historical significance of the day, marking the return of power to the people and demonstrating the widespread acceptance and popularity of democracy since its inception in 1999.

Dr. Gabaya reassured the residents of Bwari Area Council of continued efforts to deliver democratic dividends. “We are committed to extending the benefits of democracy to the majority of our people,” he stated.

He called on all Nigerians and friends of the country to support initiatives aimed at deepening democratic values, ensuring inclusive participation in governance.

The Chairman commended the public for their unwavering support for the government, acknowledging their role in maintaining the nation’s democratic trajectory.

“Our investment in social re-engineering through infrastructure and human capital development is driven by our desire to strengthen democracy and realize the development aspirations of Bwari Area Council,” he said.

Dr. Gabaya also paid tribute to the heroes and heroines of Nigeria’s democratic struggle, particularly those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of June 12.

“We salute and commend the courage of our patriots, living and dead, who sacrificed everything, including their lives, for the birth of democracy in our land,” he noted.

Dr. Gabaya expressed his gratitude to the people of Bwari for their solidarity and support for his leadership.
