In a vehement condemnation of the recent spate of violence against law enforcement personnel, the Force Public Relations Officer FPRO ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has labeled the killings of police officers as a direct assault on peace in Nigeria.
Addressing the media at the Force Headquarters, the FPRO declared that such acts are not only criminal but also evil, barbaric, and sinful.
“It’s not only criminal, but also evil, barbaric, and sinful to be killing policemen or any security agent who works tirelessly to defend and protect the lives and property of Nigeria’s citizens,” stated the FPRO. “I see it as a disservice to our dear nation. It will never be the same game as usual.”
Expressing a firm resolve to combat the perpetrators of such heinous crimes, he vowed that the Force Headquarters would spare no effort in ensuring the safety of police personnel and bringing the culprits to justice.
“The Force Headquarters would do everything possible to protect the personnel of the NPF and decimate those who have murdered our men (uniform men), for they have murdered peace,” the Police Spokesman emphasized.
The statement comes amidst rising concerns over the safety of law enforcement officers in Nigeria, with several recent incidents of targeted attacks resulting in casualties among police ranks.
ACP Adejobi’s remarks underscore the gravity of the situation and the urgent need for concerted efforts to safeguard those tasked with maintaining law and order in the country.
In the face of these challenges, the Nigerian Police Force reaffirms its commitment to upholding the rule of law, protecting citizens, and restoring peace and security across the nation.
