FG Guarantees Adequate Security for Investors – Matawalle


The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, has reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring the security of citizens, infrastructure, and investments across Nigeria.

During a working visit to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery on Saturday, June 1, 2024, Dr. Matawalle praised Aliko Dangote for his substantial investments in Nigeria, highlighting their potential to boost the economy, create wealth, and generate employment.

He assured Dangote and other investors that the Federal Government is dedicated to protecting their investments within the country.

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery, a multi-billion-dollar project, is set to fulfill 100% of Nigeria’s refined product needs and produce a surplus for export.

The Minister described the refinery as a critical investment for the nation and pledged the Federal Government’s commitment to providing the necessary security to ensure uninterrupted high production levels.

Dr. Matawalle commended Dangote’s patriotism and courage in making such significant investments in Nigeria.

He emphasized that the refinery, the largest in Africa, will significantly boost the economy by creating jobs and generating wealth.

The Minister assured maximum security around the refinery’s facilities to maintain operational efficiency.

Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Refinery, expressed gratitude for the Minister’s visit and reiterated his commitment to contributing to Nigeria’s development.

He aligned with President Tinubu’s vision of improving lives through wealth creation and youth employment.

“The refinery will meet 100% of Nigeria’s refined product requirements and produce a surplus for export, creating a market for $21 billion per annum of Nigerian crude,” Dangote stated.

The visit underscores the Federal Government’s dedication to fostering a secure environment for business investments, ensuring economic growth, and enhancing the nation’s infrastructure.
