Senator Gaidam emphasized the importance of exchanging knowledge, expertise, and best practices in security with Turkey. He noted that addressing the complex security challenges in Nigeria requires collaborative efforts and shared experiences.
“Your visit serves as a testament to the importance that both our countries attach to our partnership and the desire to further enhance our cooperation for the mutual benefit of our nations,” Gaidam stated.
He highlighted the visit as a stepping stone towards greater collaboration, partnership, and friendship between Nigeria and Turkey.
The Minister expressed optimism about exploring new avenues for cooperation in trade, security, education, and cultural exchange. He underscored the critical need for intelligence sharing and capacity building to combat transnational crimes.

He pledged to strengthen bilateral relations and foster a deeper understanding between the two countries, aiming for a more secure and interconnected future for their citizens.
Ambassador Bayraktar highlighted the longstanding relationship between Nigeria and Turkey, which dates back to 1961.
He acknowledged the progress made in security cooperation and law enforcement training and assured the Minister of continued collaboration in these areas. Bayraktar promised to return for further discussions on enhancing this partnership.
