FCT Police Restores Normalcy in Byazhin, Arrests Suspects


The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has successfully restored peace and order in Byazhin, following a recent incident that occurred on May 14, 2024. The incident involved a group of scavengers (baban-bola) who attacked passersby, stealing their valuables and inflicting severe machete injuries on a courageous lady who resisted.

The FCT Police Command responded promptly to the situation, arresting several suspects who are currently being questioned to determine their involvement. The Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igwe, has assured residents that the situation is under control and normalcy has been restored.

In a statement signed by SP Josephine Adeh, Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, residents are encouraged to continue their lawful activities without fear, as the police have put in place adequate measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

The FCT Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents, and will continue to work tirelessly to maintain peace and order in the territory.
