FCT Police Commissioner Visits Bwari/Ushafa Communities to Strengthen Security


In a bid to enhance security in key areas of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the newly appointed Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, paid a visit to the Bwari and Ushafa communities on Friday, October 11, 2024.

SP Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer, released the statement on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, FCT.

According to her the visit was aimed at assessing the security situation and reinforcing ongoing police deployments in the area.

During his tour, CP Disu met with traditional leaders, youth groups, and residents, discussing their security concerns.

He reassured the community of the police force’s dedication to maintaining law and order, promising swift responses to any threats.

“We are committed to ensuring that Bwari and Ushafa remain safe and secure,” CP Disu said, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the police and the community.

The Commissioner stressed the need for residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.

As part of the Command’s efforts, police deployments in Bwari have been strengthened, focusing on intelligence-led operations and the rapid response of officers to emergencies.

In line with his agenda, CP Disu assured residents that the FCT Command would continue to work closely with local stakeholders to implement enhanced security strategies and community policing initiatives.
