FCT Police Commence Investigation into Factional NANS Leader Attacks


The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command says it is investigating recent attacks and counterattacks between factional leaders of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) within the territory.

The command, through a press statement released by SP Josephine Adeh, the Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of FCT, assured residents that measures are being taken to maintain peace and security in the area.

According to the statement, the FCT police command is actively looking into the incidents and is committed to preventing any disruption of the peace enjoyed by residents of the territory.

The attacks, reportedly initiated by rival factions of NANS, have raised concerns about the safety and security of residents.

SP Josephine Adeh emphasized that the police are taking the matter seriously and are working diligently to gather information and apprehend those responsible for the violence.

The statement underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to uphold law and order in the FCT.

While the investigation is ongoing, the FCT police command has urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security personnel.

Any individuals with relevant information regarding the attacks are encouraged to come forward and assist the authorities in their inquiries.

The command  pledged to provide updates on any further developments related to the investigation.
