FCT Police Command Receives 25 Operational Vehicles from FCT Minister



The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Olatunji Disu, has expressed profound gratitude and commitment during a ceremony to receive 25 operational vehicles donated by the FCT Administration. Speaking at the event, CP Disu highlighted the significance of the gesture, describing it as a vital boost to the security efforts in the nation’s capital.

The donation, presented by the Honorable Minister of the FCT, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, was acknowledged as a testament to the administration’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents within the territory.

“The support from the Honorable Minister is not just logistical but symbolic of his belief in our mission to safeguard lives and property,” CP Disu stated. He assured that the vehicles would be deployed strategically to enhance emergency response, strengthen patrol operations, and support community policing initiatives across the FCT.

CP Disu emphasized the collaborative efforts of the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies, including the Nigerian Army, the Air Force, the Navy, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), in maintaining peace and security.

The vehicles are expected to improve response times to incidents, boost law enforcement visibility in communities, and foster trust and cooperation between the public and security agencies.

“Security is a shared responsibility,” CP Disu noted. “We are dedicated to working alongside the community to create an environment where everyone feels safe.”

He concluded by expressing heartfelt appreciation to the FCT Minister, affirming that the partnership between the FCT Administration and security agencies would continue to drive progress, peace, and security within the territory.
