FCT POLICE COMMAND NABS 6 FOR VANDALISM, RECOVER TRANSFORMER & MORE.


In a proactive move to combat crime, the FCT police command made a significant breakthrough on April 11, 2024, with the arrest of six individuals involved in vandalism.

Kabiru Muhammed, Aliyu Usman, Abdulmalik Alhasassan, Shafi’u Suleiman, Suleiman Ibrahim, and Raymond Mailabari, all residents of Tipper Garage, Mpape, Abuja, were apprehended while attempting to flee with a stolen transformer.

Acting swiftly on credible intelligence, police operatives intercepted the suspects in Maitama, as they loaded the vandalized transformer onto a crane truck.

Alongside the transformer, law enforcement recovered a crane truck, a blue Mercedes Benz (Reg No. PKN 497 XA), a white J5 bus (Reg No. RBC 228 XC), and an ash-colored Peugeot 406 (Reg No. GSN 13 AA), all belonging to the AEDC staff.

While investigations continue, Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh,  reaffirmed the commitment of the command to safeguarding lives and property in the Territory.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police.
