FCT Police Arrest 11 Suspected Drug Dealers, Recover 68 Bags of Cannabis

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested eleven suspected drug dealers and recovered 68 bags of cannabis in a renewed crackdown on drug trafficking within the nation’s capital.

The arrests were made during a series of coordinated raids on identified drug black spots by the Command’s Anti-Narcotics Unit.

According to the Police, the operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal supply chains and curb drug-fueled crimes in the territory.

Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, in a statement on Saturday, said the arrests represent a major stride in keeping harmful substances off the streets and protecting communities from the negative impact of drug abuse.

She added that the Command will continue to intensify operations against drug-related offences and urged residents to support the effort by providing timely information through the emergency hotlines: 08061581938, 08032003913, and the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) line: 08107314192.
