The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, has charged Joint Task Force Commanders with the critical mission of securing enduring peace and stability in Nigeria.
Addressing the Chief of Defence Staff Joint Task Force Commanders’ Conference 2024 in Abuja, the Minister underscored the imperative of consolidating operational successes across all theatres of operations to safeguard the nation’s interests.
During the three-day conference themed “Consolidating Operational Successes across all Theatres of Operations,” key stakeholders convened to reflect on past achievements, address challenges, and strategize for future endeavors.
In his address, the Minister highlighted the significance of the conference as a platform to recognize strides in safeguarding lives and properties while learning from past mistakes.
He emphasized the importance of jointness in military operations, stressing the need for a cohesive and integrated approach to tackle evolving security challenges.
Recognizing the vital role of local communities in combating insurgency and criminality, Matawalle emphasized the necessity of building trust and cooperation with civilians.
Moreover, he reiterated the administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all Nigerians under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
The conference also witnessed the unveiling of the book “Complex Military Operations: Operation Hadin Kai in Perspective” by Major General Edward S. Buba.
