The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, is saddened by the sudden passing of Hon. Olaide Adewale Akinremi, a member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency. Akinremi, fondly known as Jagaban, passed away on Wednesday after a brief illness.
In a condolence message, the Deputy Speaker expressed his profound grief and praised Akinremi’s contributions to nation-building through his legislative work and policies. He remembered Akinremi as a dedicated and committed lawmaker who served his constituency and the country with passion.
The Deputy Speaker recalled Akinremi’s active participation in legislative activities and his commitment to the All Progressive Congress (APC). He offered his heartfelt condolences to the Akinremi family, the Ibadan North Federal Constituency, the Government and People of Oyo State, and the entire APC family.
” Hon. Akinremi’s legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of working with him and benefiting from his leadership,” the Deputy Speaker said. “May Almighty God grant his family and loved ones the strength to bear this irreparable loss.”
