DEFENCE MINISTER URGES WOMEN TO BE AGENTS OF CHANGE


The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has called on women to become agents of change in their communities and society at large.

He made this appeal while receiving a delegation from the National Female Students Association, led by Comrade Choice Uchenna Enebeli, at Ship House, Abuja.

“Women have always been the backbone of society,” Abubakar stated. “It is time for them to harness the incredible power and potential that lies within each and every one of them.”

Commending the association’s efforts, the Minister encouraged them to leverage their power and potential to drive positive change.

He praised the association’s upcoming programs aimed at empowering female students with knowledge and skills for academic and career excellence. He urged them to ensure the program has a national scope and is inclusive.

Earlier, Comrade Choice Uchenna Enebeli, the leader of the delegation, highlighted the purpose of their visit: to create awareness about their upcoming programs designed to equip female students with the knowledge and skills necessary for academic and career development.

She emphasized that the goal of the National Female Students Association of Nigeria is to harness the power of young women to build a prosperous and peaceful Nigeria, creating a lasting legacy for future generations.
