CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry Advocates Cybersecurity Collaboration at SmartComply Breakfast Session, Receives Award of Excellence


The Director of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center (NPF-NCCC), CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry, has called for strengthened collaboration among stakeholders to combat the growing threats of cybercrime and financial fraud in Nigeria.

He made this appeal while delivering a keynote lecture at the SmartComply Compliance & Cybersecurity Breakfast Session, held on January 15, 2025, at the Radisson Blu, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event, organized by SmartComply, brought together key players from the digital economy and cybersecurity sectors to discuss pressing issues in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. 

CP Uche commended the organizers for fostering dialogue and emphasized the critical role of law enforcement in addressing cybersecurity challenges.

In his lecture, CP Uche highlighted the increasing risks posed by rising internet usage and the dynamic nature of cyber threats.

He also acknowledged the challenges faced by security agencies, including limited resources and the need for constant adaptation to new threats. 

Stressing the importance of partnerships, he called for collective action to prevent data breaches, cyberattacks, and financial crimes.

During a panel discussion at the event, CP Uche reiterated the need for trust and collaboration within the cybersecurity community to create a safer online environment.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to cybersecurity and the fight against financial crimes, CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry was presented with an Award of Excellence at the event.

The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging innovation and strategic partnerships to enhance Nigeria’s resilience against cyber threats.
