BADARU PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR THE AREWA TRADERS ASSOCIATION.


The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar CON, mni, has pledged unwavering support for the Arewa Traders Association, affirming the pivotal role the association played in the success of the 2023 elections.

In a meeting held at Ship House, Abuja, Minister Badaru assured the Acting National President of the Arewa Traders Association, Alhaji Adam Hassan Ibrahim, of government assistance aimed at bolstering their businesses.

Highlighting the association’s significant contribution during the previous elections, Minister Badaru emphasized the crucial role played by Arewa traders in securing victories for the APC across various electoral levels.

“As a staunch supporter of our cause, I recognize the challenges you face and stand committed to addressing them,” stated Minister Badaru, underscoring his solidarity with the association’s members.

Furthermore, Minister Badaru pledged to convey the association’s goodwill message and demands to President Bala Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, ensuring their voices are heard at the highest levels of government.

The Arewa Traders Association represents a vast network of legitimate traders spanning the nineteen Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), standing as the largest registered association in Nigeria.

In response, Alhaji Adam Hassan Ibrahim, the leader of the association, extended congratulations to Minister Badaru on his appointment, affirming its merit. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage with the Minister and advocated for the welfare of the association’s members.

Ibrahim appealed to Minister Badaru to include the Arewa Traders Association in the Federal Government’s social welfare schemes, seeking equitable opportunities for its members in national development initiatives.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from both parties to collaborate towards advancing the interests of Arewa traders and fostering socio-economic growth in the Northern region.
