A delegation of the alumni paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Maiyaki at his office in Kaduna on Monday, August 18, 2025, where they congratulated him and pledged their continued support.
The visit, filled with warm camaraderie and nostalgia, was marked by the presentation of a specially designed roll-up banner in recognition of his professional milestone.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, members of the ABU MACOSA 2004 set commended the commissioner’s exemplary service record, integrity, and commitment to public communication.

They expressed confidence in his ability to deliver effectively in his new role and urged him to remain steadfast in upholding truth and inclusivity in information dissemination.
According to the alumni, such dedication would further strengthen Kaduna’s social fabric, promote peaceful coexistence among its diverse communities, and deepen citizens’ trust in government.
Hon. Maiyaki, visibly moved by the gesture, described the visit as both humbling and deeply emotional. He expressed profound gratitude to his colleagues, stressing that being recognized by one’s peers was a unique honor. “I am proud to be part of the ABU MACOSA family, and this solidarity gives me even greater motivation to serve with excellence,” he said.
The event also provided an opportunity for the alumni to reconnect, share light-hearted moments, and celebrate the success of one of their own. Group photographs taken during the visit captured the spirit of unity and pride that defines the alumni network.
The appointment of Hon. Maiyaki, who has previously distinguished himself as a media professional and public affairs strategist, has been widely described as a significant recognition of competence and dedication.
