Abduction and Assault in Chikakore Community: FCT Police Launch Investigation


The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has launched an investigation following the abduction and assault of a family in the Chikakore community. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, around 1:00 a.m.

According to a statement by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, seven unidentified men, disguised as vigilante members and armed with machetes and sticks, attacked the residence of the victims.

The suspects deceived the homeowner into opening his gate before abducting him and three members of his family.

A neighbor who attempted to intervene sustained injuries during the attack and was immediately rushed to Kubwa General Hospital for treatment.

In response to the incident, the police have commenced a comprehensive search and rescue operation to ensure the safe recovery of the victims and the apprehension of the assailants.

The FCT Police Command has urged residents of Chikakore and the general public to remain calm and vigilant. Citizens are encouraged to provide any information that may assist in the investigation and rescue efforts.
